Investments in UK property by foreigners?

Hello Alan!

Thanks for such an informative site about property investment.
I would like to invest in property (buy-to-let scheme) in Scotland, but as I am not a UK citizen, I`m not sure if it is possible in terms of getting a mortgage.
Could you, please, clarify will I be able to get a mortgage in UK bank, or is there any other scheme I can use to invest in Scotland property?
